THANKSGIVING

On Thanksgiving, everyone suddenly becomes really appreciative/ thankful for family, a roof over their head, being healthy, and other generic things. Well, of course I am too, but  If it takes you this one day only to appreciate these fine things in life, then time to look at the finer details my friends. Here's what I'm thankful for besides the obvious.

1. Not gaining freshman-15
Freshman year of college, you're thrown out into the world. Let loose from my mothers nonstop Lebanese cooking, I can now eat whatever I want. No more tubs of hummus and piles of tabbouli, but instead, I'm faced with Chipotle across the street, mysterious cafeteria "food", and frozen chicken nuggets. Decisions, decisions. Miraculously, 15 pounds have managed not to creep onto my body... yet.

2. Leggings
Just because I go to fashion school doesn't mean I don't get lazy sometimes. I mean, I still wouldn't dare to walk out of my dorm room wearing a tacky velour sweatsuit of any sort. So thank you leggings, as being the next best comfort item. With an oversized sweater, you are a delicious cup of Tazo Sweet Cinnamon Spice Tea with a drizzle of honey. Oh, and I am thankful for discovering that flavor of tea as well.

3. The holiday being commercialized
"May the odds be ever in your favor" ... while shopping.

4. You
Yeah you, behind a computer screen. You're awesome. You keep me going. You make me happy to blog.

XOXO S.
