Victor Harbor Causway (

To be able to explore new cities and different lifestyles is a blessing, so it's safe to say that my trip through Australia was absolutely beautiful. My first stop was for 10 days in Adelaide, which is in South Australia. This typically isn't a tourist destination, but I have so many family and friends there that I couldn't pass up the opportunity to see them, and how they live their lives.

Although Adelaide has a small city, which is very charming and cultured, the beauty of Adelaide is in the nature and landscape of the suburbs. I was there in January, which is the midst of their summer, and the vegetation thrives in the winter months. Due to this, the scenery wasn't too green, but it doesn't take too much imagination to picture what it looks like in the cooler months. Even without the luscious green fields readily available, the hills, valleys, openness, and integrity of the land was a refreshing view.

In these photos, I was visiting Victor Harbor. Victor Harbor has a rich history, but in short, it is a harbor that has a connecting causeway to Granite Island. You can spend the entire day there and enjoy boardwalk rides, walk the causeway, explore the trails of Granite Island, and eat some yummy food. It was super windy the day we visited, so my "Madeline" hat was extremely short lived.
